Hi Spads,
It would really help to see the original. Having said that, I agree with you going with a more natural look, I hate the overcooked HDR look. The one thing I'd say, which is a major issue with HDR when people are first starting to use HDR is the "halo" effect that you see around tower/bridge thing in the lower right. A properly processed HDR (in my opinion) shouldn't have the halo. It'll probably depend on you doing more work with layers in PS or really get to know the HDR/Photomatix settings. Good luck |

I agree with BigFuzzy. The original would help. I do like the photo and its natural look as i too prefer that over the harsher processed HDR. I love the sky. Keep it up! Great Photo!

In the end, yeah, I think it was worth it to use HDR on this set of images. I would, however, again say that it's my opinion you really have to avoid getting that halo around objects, it then becomes obvious that lots of post processing was done.

HDR works well with something like this. Consider adding a layer of curves, and cleaning up the noise. I've attached a quick job on your original to this reply.

The original HDR is nice, but I like double conzex's version better. Maybe if you could do a middle between yours and double conzec's.
