It might help if you let us know what it is you have done to the photo...

Would it be possible to attach the original photo as well so we can compare
Based on that photo alone though I like it although the top of the slide and the base of the sky is a bit blown out but theres not much that can be done about that if they were like that originally.

I really like the rich colours and the subject is nice and clear however I am a little distracted by the darker edges so feel they need to be brighter or cropped. Just my novice opinion.

I think the vignette is too dark. I'd question whether a vignette is necessary at all here.

No, it isnt protocol and in fact the guidelines ask for only one photo per 24 hours be posted unless you post in the comparison section.
I think more of what they were saying is they wanted an idea of what you did and how you did it so they could offer you alternate ways. It always helps as well to ask something specific so we know which direction to go with helping you

I tend to agree here. I think rather than vignette the play equipment I would put a copy of the darker exposure of the bracket set underneath it in photoshop and grab a brush on a nice low opacity to darken the background and surrounding areas selectively to make the background recede and the play set pop without it being as obvious as a vignette. I would probably hit a light touch on the red of the play set on the legs at the bottom to stop them looking quite as painted in and give back a little form to them.
