Default Eiffel Tower HDR

Hi
I am new to post production. I used Paint Shop Pro XI and Photomatix Pro 3.
First I sharpen the photos to get more detail on the tower.
Did I sharpen the picture too much?
Is the picture too blue/cool?
Thanks

I like the blue cast to the tower, but the HDR is way over done, as evidenced most dramatically by the super-wide white halo around the tower. Dial it back a bit; HDR is fine, but try to use it in a way that the viewer is left wondering whether or not an HDR treatment was applied.

I also like your composition and the angle you chose to photograph the tower. Thanks for sharing.

Default Ouch.. my haloed eyes!

HDR done well is awesome. HDR overcooked, is a nightmare. And sorry pal, this is waaay over cooked. The white halo just screams HDR.

It's my opinion to always remember that if/when the technique you used on an image (HDR, vignetting, skin smoothing, eye brightening, etc) becomes an actual element of the image instead of simply enhancing it.. it's gone too far.

Enjoy experimenting!
