Hi. Here is a pic of friend captured for retouch practice. This is the first retouch where I did not blur the skin to soften/smooth it.
Let me know what you think overall about the retouch. ![]() Due to the image size restrictions here please visit for higher resolution image Flickr Photo: Beauty retouch Thanks 1/250 F/8 75-90mm focal length flash in softbox

Thanks. I'm glad it's hard to tell that a lot of work has been done to the skin. I try to keep it realistic and not over do it.
I agree, if they were freckles or moles I would have left them in unless requested otherwise. But she wanted the "sun spots" removed. I didn't know what sun spots were until recently. I guess people get them when they are older. Yes, hair is difficult to do and can take as long if not longer to work than skin. Hair is my Achilles heel. Quote:

lol, age spots. I hope that doesn't give away her age.

Nice retouch on the face. Even at full size it stays pretty realistic. The hair retouch is quite noticeable, but hair is really tough against that type of background. The only thing you can do it replace it with a dark background.

Excellent job! Perfect example of retouching and giving the skin a natural look, retaining the texture but "cleaning it up". I see far too much skin smoothing where the subject looks plastic these days. This is really, really good.
