I really like the composition and story telling but I feel the vibrant color over powers the image. There is just too many clashing colors working here for me. I don't think HDR / Tone mapped added anything to this image so I personally wouldn't have done it.

I think some good normal processing for this image would work best. The texture is pretty subtle which is good. I would reduce the saturation of the background a lot this is what distracts me so much in this image. I think you got a fantastic image here but I think the processing was pushed a little far. Good compositional technique and depth of field, filling the frame with the boot worked well here.

Sometimes less is more. Nice work I look forward to seeing more images from you in the future.

Thank you

It's not bad, but I think it could be much better. Try lowering the ISO to 100 and take 3 or even 5 shots. Try an aperture of 8 - 11, especially when you are at an open space in a sunny day. I'm not a big fan of textures but they can work. Try playing around with the HDR process and then try textures.

I feel like the shot is just too bright, and posterizing the background doesn't work...it makes the background more distracting. I would try reducing exposure/highlight recovery/shadows-highlight (program dependent) and desaturating/blurring the background.
