Default Textures

Recently started experimenting with textures. What do you think? Is it too dark? Thoughts, comments, appreciated as always.

This is very well done! very subtle use of texture - not too over the top or gloomy as most textured work ends up. I relaly like how bright this is and yet you can feel the texture on the "green".
Very well done! Suits the composition perfectly!

I like it a lot!! I have seen several recently working with textures. Where do you find your textures? I should really look into this. :-) Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the kind comments. I like it as well. Anyway, you can either buy backgrounds on istockphoto or shutterstock, make them by shooting stuff like paper, concrete, canvas etc or I found a guy on flickr who makes them and lets people use them. I get most from him.

His blog is: Shadowhouse Creations

he has amazing stuff and tutorials to get you started.
