I would guess that your original image was overexposed. Use the AEB function on your Canon to shoot multiple f-stops simultanousely, and then try using a single RAW to construct your components before assembling your HDR image. (Consider referring to my tutorial: Broadening your range: How to create High Dynamic Range (HDR) images from a single exposure for the step by step process that I am referring to). Hope this helps.

Well, I like the shot, except for the sky. The combination of the smooth gray sky and the haloing makes it look like something painted in Photoshop. Aside from that, the trees in the front bum me out - wish the view of the brewery was unobscured. One other thing that bugs me a bit is the color across the shot looks a little flat (mostly due to those trees going from left to right across the front of the building), except for the tree area to the right of the brewery which jumps out and screams for attention.
Nice effort, and I do see a lot of potential there. I am trying to experiment with HDR myself - one site I found which is pretty helpful is Stuck In Customs HDR Photography - check it out, there's a nice tutorial on there. |
