I've been lurking for while and finally decided to join and start participating.

I took this picture for my father as he wanted to be able to show some friends various items he had around the property. I decided to take three exposures and blend them in GIMP. After I blended the image I did some mild tone mapping to tweak the feel of the image.

This image was cropped for a widescreen digital photo frame.

Any and all C&C is appreciated, but looking for suggestions on composition and my use of tone mapping. I prefer when it's used to accentuate/enhance a photo instead of being the focus of the image.

Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 6.1mm (30mm equiv.)

Looks pretty good to me, I would desaturated the greens just slightly to keep more of the attention on the subject. The trees are very vibrant and my eye keeps getting drawn to them. I like the low perspective you used here and getting in close to fill the frame worked well. I would also desaturated the sky slightly since it looks a little unnatural mostly at the spot above the steering wheel ( the large cyan area).

Thanks for the feedback. I got lucky with the perspective as there was an old cooler just sitting next to a fire pit nearby that I set the camera on and put it into AEB and set the timer.

Here is an adjusted image.

Murtasma's suggestion is spot on. The second version of the photo looks better than the first. I like the colors of the photo, they looks so rich and natural.

Cheers!
