IMHO, it would be more Springy by including the greenery in color as well. Technically, it appears you've gone a little too heavy on some of the the processing. The yellow looks quite over-saturated. The leaves look very grainy and blotchy. This is likely due to darkening the greens too much during the B&W conversion. The same thing may be responsible for the halos around the leaves on the right side. Keep playing around with your settings and improvement will come quickly.

This actually has somewhat of a 1950's pop art feel to me, which I find very cool. (Well, if that's what you were going for!)

If you were just attempting a B/W photo with the daffodil bloom with selective color, (and not attempting the pop art,) then yes, it is too saturated.

I agree it needs some green. Maybe only partially desaturate the non-blossom parts of the pic.
