![]() Camera: Nikon D80 Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160) Aperture: f/6.3 Focal Length: 27 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: No Flash I've been a little bit wary of textures ever since I read the article on DPS condemning them. I can see where they're starting to get overused, but I still can't help being drawn to textures and I'm wondering if you think they've been effectively used in this image or if it just looks as if I'm covering up my inadequacy with distractions. ![]() I have seen lots of pictures that use textures that I really love and I'm trying hard to emulate those, but I'm not entirely sure I'm succeeding. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are so many textures that don't do anything for me, but this one I like.
It's a little tricky to tell at this size, but I can't help but think that a b&w or even sepia treatment might work nicely with the distressed texture.
