Default 2nd ever HDR, My new backgarden


Canon Eos 1000d
1 RAW File edditted in Lightroom to make the lower and higher exposure, didn't have tripod.
ISO200
F11
18mm
1/320Sec

Love the composition, love the picture... you could use Exposure slider to got -2, then export as 16 bit TIFF, do another at 0, export, then last one at +2 and export. Use all 3 in Photomatix and you will get a more dramatic range.

But the picture is GREAT just like it is.

I like this. It doesn't look too much of an over the top HDR.

You should resize it though. It's way too big for the forums here. Check out the FAQ or/and the rules for the posting.

I also like your post-processing work here. The colors look just right and I like how it contributed to adding a gloomy mood in this photo.

Here's some added oomph... Photomatix does a good job rendering the HDR and doing the tone mapping, but try playing with tonal corrections and curves in Photoshop...
