Yeah, mostly the background...you see I had open sky and sunlight in on half of the picture so I had to bring the swampy looking half over to the other side as well. I was just hoping for critique on technique for the photoshop work I did...

Well, I think the background is fine, obviously duplicated because of it's symmetry, but still looks okay. My issue with this shot is the hands. The motion of the head with the gas mask makes it feel like something intense is going on, if not physically, then at least in his mind. I feel like the positioning of the rest of his body conflicts with this...his body comes across as bored and just posing for a quick snapshot. I think it's a cool idea, and one that can be worked with, it just needs a bit more thought put into the composition.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you saw what I was attempting to go for and I appreciate your input, I can't wait to utilize it. Thank you again

Not my favorite of yours but I like the fact that you are looking for a meaningful metaphor. I told someone earlier that symmetry has the potential to suck the life out of an image. But in a case where everything in the image is perfectly symmetrical EXCEPT for one thing, it puts a lot of meaning on that thing. In your image the only thing not perfectly symmetrical is the strange blurred image of what should be your sons faith. Clearly this image suggests a meaning far beyond what it is obviously apparent.
