Default First HDR

I haven't been on here in forever! Ha ha anyways. This is my very first HDR shot. I was messing around with my dads camera and found the exposure bracketing. And I realized, Woah! I can try to do an HDR now! I was trying to find some natural lighting and also figured that starting on something with wood would be my best bet. I processed this in PhotoMatix. What I'd like to know, is it to much processing? If so what needs to be worked on for the future?

First HDR

Camera: Kodak EasyShare C743 Zoom
Exposure: 0.031 sec (1/32)
Aperture: f/2.7
Focal Length: 6 mm
ISO Speed: 154

Overdone? Well that depends on if you're going for that effect or not. It don't look natural if that is what you're asking...

I'm not sure what type of effect I was going for. This is just the result. One of those things that happens when you don't know what your doing. I wasn't really asking if it looked natural haha I know it doesn't. I just wanted to know if it's to much. I see a lot of HDR's out there and I don't have much experience so yeah..

Too much is in the eye of the beholder. If you're looking for a natural look then yes it's too much. It's you who have to take it for what it is. It may be too much for me but not too much for the next guy. For me yes it's overdone but next guy may say no...

It's also overdone for my taste since I prefer HDR photos that still boasts of natural colors. You can also try finding other interesting angles when shooting.

Cheers!
