Sorry, no. The image seems very flat, and I hate selective coloring in most applications.....
There are some good aspects to this shot, i.e. the leading lines. But overall the conversion makes the selective coloring seem like an attempt to make something boring into something interesting (as is usually the case). Sorry to be so "harsh"....feel free to ignore me.

I'm afraid I agree with sk66's assessment.
Although I'm sure it's not your intention, trying to highlight a baby's bare bottom like in the first photo seems a little creepy to me. Especially since it looks shot with a telephoto lens. At least in the original there is a "that's just the way it was, the baby's shirt rode up a little - so what?" feeling. IMO, the baby isn't worth highlighting in this shot. Again, I'm sure your intentions were fine. I'm just giving you my opinion of your shot here. ...feel free to ignore me too. |
