Default [Dark Thoughts] 2

Hello folks

I'm making a new collection "Dark Thougts",I want your opinions/critiques on this shot:

Exifs:

NIKON D50
15.0-31.0 mm f/3.5-4.5
15.0mm (== on 35mm : 22mm)
0.79m
Aperture: f/3.5
Expo: 0.250 s (1/4)
ISO: 400
exposition correction: -1.00

Do you find it too dark ? responds to the theme ? (Depression / unrest..)

Thanks for your advices

Nice image, I think it certainly has a stressed out feel to the image especially the dark ominous figure on the right. This figure looks natural to me, the person on the bed however feels a little too posed in my eyes. The person on the bed distracts me from the more powerful shadow that evokes the stressed out emotion in me. You also have some good motion blur going with the person creating more tension.

I think the image personally would be stronger with out the person on the bed; sometimes less is more.

Great work!

Thank you for sharing

i agree with murtasma, I think that the right hand figure is excellent and i love the blurring but the pose of the figure on the bed looks too contrived for me and for me at least undermines the rest of the shot.
I also agree that for me, it would be a stronger image if you left only the right hand figure and removed the other rather than having two competing focal points.
Perhaps it would be nice a tiny bit lighter to get a little more definition on the lower figure but I think that might detract from the dark feeling you were going for and that I think have achieved.
I also really like the light shining through the net curtain and the slightly ethereal feel from the movement in the curtain too.

Just my thoughts, Neil

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better at least to me. I do however like the black blotch under the window near the bed in the first image. How was that done? Why was it not in the second image?

Gotcha I don't know why but I like it. Good job getting out there and doing it again that's what it's all about. Those that put forth the effort always get better.

Well maybe not always but most of the time

Hi....thought would pipe in with a small suggestion. How abt adding a little bit of vignetting to the left upper corner or the wall?!...I think it would draw the viewer to the subject & maybe provide more balance...that's my opinion Regards
