I took this photo on a very wet and foggy day from a distance in my car. We were behind a long line of the Trailriders coming into town. The traffic was slow going. So I shot this out of my car window. On editing in my Corel Paint Shop Pro x2 it was blur and not as clear--probably because of the vibrations of the car. In order to lessen the blur I edited this in the "Photo Effects-Time Machine". Do you think this brought good results in hiding the blur as well as bringing on a proper mood of old time photo? I did remove the telephone poles and another street sign. I left the "Schertz" sign for this was to advertise the town in which the Trailriders were coming into. Should the mailbox have been erased too? Thank you for your comments in advance.

The old-time effect looks great. It's a shame the mailbox is position where it is (to the left and a bit higher would have been perfect) but it might not be worth the effort to fix. Did you get any similar photos you could apply the same processing to?

Looks like a scene in a classic movie. I like your color treatment here, it seems appropriate for the subject. The mailboxes are in an awkward position in the photo but it's not something that would take away the positive points of this image. Good job!
