Smile Sepia Portrait

This is a portrait of me. I did it in Sepia because it gives it an old fashion kind of look...

I was wondering what you thought of it... Does the Sepia look ok? Is it a good shot? I took it on my Sony Cyber-shot and edited it in Photoshop (and did the Sepia in Picasa).

Thanks!

If the whites weren't blown out, I'd love it.

I have no problem with the whites being blown out espcecially with it being in sepia. These are stylisitc decisions in this case and I think it works for you. I am not thrilled with the pose. You appear to be a lovely young woman so unless you are cross eyed and buck toothed, I'd like to see your face.

You got something against crossed, bucktoothed folks?
HA!

To the OP, lost a little too much detail in the dress and highlights for my taste. The sepia is fine and works well for this image.

I agree with Lee: whites may be blown out when making hi-key photos like this one, it's just a stylistic decision.
What I like less about this particular capture are details on the dress and the face. I'd go for more light in order to take away the shadows from the skin of the face and give it a more ethereal look.
