Composition-wise, I think both looks good but I like the first one more simply because the surroundings make a good 'breathing space'. The second version seems very 'busy' to me as it looks very tight. In terms of color, I think it is very saturated.

Hi there
I will offer my two cents worth too. IMHO, I think that I like the space in the first composition better than the second cropped version. For the colours, I like the colours of the lower grass and stone work supporting the house in the cropped picture, and the rooftop, mountains of the top capture. It is pretty good to do the HDR effect from a point and shoot. |

From a compositional standpoint, the first is far superior to the second. There is a balance between the two buildings and the way they are positioned that is missing in the second.
