Default HDR - Not my usual classic landscape style

Osmington Mills Sunrise, Dorset (HDR) - January 2012

I usually just use HDR software (Photomatix) to merge exposures when the density range is off the scale. It also brings out loads of details in rocks etc. I decided to take this shot a stage further and go full blown HDR and it's growing on me... what do you think??

I love the detail in the rocks. I don't know how I feel about the yellow water... unfortunately reminds me of urine LOL

The rocks are simply superb with loads of detail, the sea and the clouds looks amazing and the rays far back are great too. The yellow water looks a bit unusual but otherwise it's a fine work. Grats!

The colour of the water comes from the green weed that you can see growing on all the rocks this time of year. I wouldn't drink this water, but natural, not polluted... but take your point. Thanks for the comments.

What do you mean by full blown HDR? What was the process for this photo? By the way, absolutely awesome shot and processed wonderfully. I'd hang it on my wall :-)

Awesome job processing! Love the details - like many others the yellow water looks weird - but it kind of works in a way.

Great job! TFS!

Very nicely done - not overdone. Very nice work. If the water was yellowish then so be it.

bah..the water isn't yellow. You have to take into account the light levels and the time of day here. The sun is lower on the horizon and, as you see, is penetrating at points through the clouds to make for some wonderful effects in the water, rocks and clouds.

Superb.
