I understand that PSE8 comes with something called an organizer for windows computers but not for mac. I, of course, have a mac. And I'm just getting started with taking a lot of photos and need to have a way to get it organized.
I'm using Nikon Transfer for (duh) transfer and it pushes me over to View NX which is ok, but not my favorite (actually, I don't have a fav - everything has the pros and cons of life). I find myself using Preview for the first culling, iPhoto for simple adjustments and then PSE for more involved adjustments. But, where does it make sense to tag photos in order to find them again? It can be done in both View NX and iPhoto. Does anything connect up with PSE8 in whatever way I assume that their organizer does? Thanks. |

I use Bridge and good old fashioned folders and manual movement.

Thanks for great replies.
I have a feeling I'm not using iPhoto to it's good extent. I'm also feeling like the Nikon programs that came with the camera are fine but redundant. Capture NX2? Maybe. I think I'll take Wulf's advice about importing into iPhoto ('cause it's a pain to put them there) and then I can do my initial run through on them. Then maybe go to Bridge for the tagging, etc. ACR and then PSE8. Will give it a try. I feel like I need to get this organized before I get to far along.... Also, I'm going to buy a Canon P&S so it'll be nice to be able to just use iPhoto for importing. |
