Wow. That looks like a pretty good job on a tough subject, especially around the eyes where the glasses have decreased their size and moved the line of the face inward as seen on his right eye.

You should keep the glasses! Part of his eyebrows are lost and although the repair is decent, it doesn't look quite right. You've also made his face slightly more pinkish?
Also in the top left corner there is a sharp line that looks like a clone-tool accident!

But the main problem is the top part of his nose, which fades out into nothing. Some shadow has been lost in the removal of the glasses and it looks like his nose ends half an inch below his forehead. That's not human!

I'm sorry but I do think the result is awful, but you didn't make it easy for yourself by trying to remove the glasses. That is a very difficult task. Keep them and start over.

I would go with something like this (two minutes in gimp, and it's a bit too dark and not all errors corrected). He's quite a handsome guy, even with the glasses.

Well if that's what he wanted ...

You should try to add some shadow to the area between his left eye and his nose, tracing the curved line from the left eyebrow down to the nose. There's no shadow there now, making the area look like it's swollen or something.

Attached another rough draft. This is much more delicate work as you would be trying to reconstruct part of his nose (the part that was hidden by his glasses). Knowing what he actually looks like would be a great help.

As for the beard I think you did a good job. You want it even fuller? Darker? I think it fits the skin color fine as it is.

EDIT: On the attached I also enhanced his left eyebrow to match the right.

Here are two more...

The second has the colors and contrast enhanced a bit compared to the first.

Also on both I think the bottom left is better left in the shadows than trying to recreate his right arm - it really adds nothing to the photo.
