You have to process a raw file I believe there is a RAW plugin in photoshop that imports RAW files allows you to post process and save them.
Some of the experianced photoshop users will be able to tell you how im sorry not much help there. But if your just going to be opening your images or saving them stright to JPEG why not shoot JPEG? it may save you some time depending on your workflow.

Lois, what software are you using to transfer the file from your camera to your computer? My canon software gives the option, after saving and opening the RAW files to convert and save, it gives me the option of jpeg, tiff, etc.
If you use Photoshop to open the RAW file (I use CS4) the adobe RAW editor opens, then I simply hit transfer to Photoshop, than I need to change mode from 16 bit to 8 bit and then save as a jpeg. (Image>mode) Hope something here helped. Last edited by ottojoe; 12-18-2009 at 06:54 PM. |
