While editing pictures are there certain rules to keep in mind while editing pictures?

Are there certain things that won't print out well, or is it determined by WHERE you get it printed rather what you print off (assuming you're using the original file, and not a file you downloaded off of the internet/facebook/ect)

Where are places you recommend over other places to print photos off at?

I would probably say best not to edit you pictures on a laptop if its anything your not sure about as laptop screens tend to be brighter from different viewing angles and a picture that looks great may print out dark. The same can happen with your monitor so if possible check your edited picture on another PC before you do a big print run if it turn out there is a difference then you may need to calibrate your monitor.

The other thing I have heard people having problems with is colour reproduction it shouldnt really be too far off but if colour is really important try to get the ICC colour profile for the labs printers they use.

As for where to get your prints done theres lots of users who I know have recomended places and im sure you will find their suggests if you search the threads
