I am wondering how other people compensate for differences in monitor brightness when you post process your image.
I have several computers and find myself working photos on each of them at some time or another. I often find that on one a photo's brightness is fine, but moving do a different platform (an older laptop for example) I'll have to artificially bump the exposure up an nth degree or so in order for the image to be clear. Since there are million of computers out with as many monitors running the brightness gamut, what steps do you take to maximize the amount of screen your image will look good on? |

yup or you could calibrate them yourself quite easily. I have two monitors as well which I compare the images on both and usually go with an in between exposure as there are slight differences between the two monitors. Doesn't work for everyone, but seems to work for me.
