Arrow Mac Portfolio printing in Australia

Hi,

I am planning to get a Portfolio printed for the art that I have developed since four years now. Photography started as a hobby but now I am planning to move to the advanced level.

Has anyone got any idea on the quality of printed Portfolio from iPhoto (Mac) in Australia?

If you have alternate places, please let me know.

A portfolio is the reflection of your art and I want that reflection to shine.

Cheers

So,

I guess, no one has any previous experience of printing with Apple.

Well I have asked them to print one of my portfolios and I will update this thread when I get it.

Cheers

Give it a bit more than 24 hours.

I didn't even know Apple DID printing. I've always taken mine to a local guy I trust.

OsmosisStudios

Sorry for being impatient. This was my first portfolio being printed and was all excited about.

Yes Apple do print photobooks and portfolios and it can be directly done from iPhoto. Just be careful, the price that they quote is exclusive of GST.

I did contact local printing places but they were a bit busy. I will get another one printed with them to check and compare for the quality of craftsmanship and the prints.

I am planning to make following portfolios. 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 so I will have ample of places to try.

Thanks

I can't stand iPhoto: I don't know what it is, I just hate it.

My local guy is likely cheaper and quicker too

Sssshhh, don't tell my clients, but for those who just want a coffee table book album for their weddings get one from Apple, via me

I've never printed via iPhoto, but I have through Aperture. I can only imagine that they are one and the same printer.

Pricing is a little higher than I've encountered elsewhere, but, for me, the ease of workflow is well worth the little extra - my time is valuable & I can't deal with running around with labs if I don't need to.

As you'd probably expect, quality from Apple is very high; both print and construction.

My clients love them and so do I. In fact, I put together my own wedding album and used Apple to print it. It passed the stringent critical eye of my wife

I am thinking out loud here, but is there any other way to print through Apple without using iPhoto or Aperture?
