Default Need help with sizes etc....

I found a gallery very close to where I live, and their website says that they welcome submissions from artists who wish to be considered as prospective exhibitors.
So it says, " In the first instance please forward images of you work on CD with the usual details of media used, size and framing as well as a brief biography and CV."

I haven't got a clue when it comes to sizing of photos and resolution and all that. Can anyone help? And what exactly do they mean by "the usual details of media used, size and framing"?

Hope I've put this in the right forum, wasn't really sure where to ask.

It might fit more under the earning with photography section, although it does also link very closely to the decisions you make about how to process your photos. I imagine they are mainly thinking of people who produce prints to sell, in which case tell them what you've got.

Otherwise, if you are looking at this as a new opportunity, how about popping in there and asking them? If they treat you like a rank amateur and have no time for you, it probably isn't going to be a worthwhile avenue to pursue anyway. However, if they can spare five minutes to tell you the kind of thing they are looking for, then you will be able to find out exactly what THEY are after rather than what WE imagine they might want.

FWIW, I imagine the bottom line is that they want things they can sell and will give space to artwork in exchange for a commission on the sales. Therefore, there are looking for people who can paint themselves as artists and produce materials which will attract purchasing clientele.
