I have been playing with these in Lightroom. Which do you prefer? How do you think I could improve it with regard to tone? I've only had Lightroom for a couple of weeks so still quite fresh...
I messed up a bit because I had ISO on really high in the church, and forgot to take it down in my excitement/sheer panic on leaving the church. ![]()

I personally think it would be nicer as a close-up because they are kissing and very happy, it would have more emotion as a close up.
Also I think you should give the first one some warmth, the slightly dull tones retract from the joyous occasion. I do like it though. |

Thanks for your advice, I have cropped and warmed it up a bit here, also softened it as I realise Lightroom had automatically been sharpening it. I also rule-of-thirds'd the crop so the kiss is on a thirds intersection.
What do you think? Romantic or just back to the drawing board? Large here http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2797/...ffd529e7_b.jpg

Hi Anna...
I saw your thread earlier in the day when you had the original 2 pictures posted. Pressed for time and not being able to make a quick decision, I didn't reply. First off, I really liked the image. I wasn't sure which treatment looked better...but I think the latest is my favorite...except, the crop. I liked how the bride and groom were framed by the doorway and the other building details. Although they were centered, it wasn't awkward looking to me. This crop looks unbalanced to my eyes, almost taking away the attention from the bride and groom. This might be one of those times where forcing something to fit a 'rule' doesn't work. But as always, this is just one opinion. Is there a way to see the original again? I checked on your Flickr stream, but I didn't see it. |

Thank you, I will post a copy of the third one without the crop in the morning. 00:10 here and my bed is beckoning...
