What do you use to edit RAW images?

I am not having any luck opening a RAW image on my computer, using any software. Please tell me what you use to edit your raw files. Thank you so much!

Not sure what brand or type of digital camera you have but most come with software that will convert for you. I use Adobe Lightroom. Photoshop will also work.

That is part of my problem. I got my Canon Rebel from Ebay. It was supposed to be new, but it wasn't and didn't have any software (that's another story). I have Photoshop Elements, but when I try to import raw pics, it tells me "no valid files found."

Thank you! I have downloaded it and have it open. When I plug in my camera, it doesn't give me the option to open with Raw Therapee. How do I open the file in the program? I just need to get the image on my computer first. Thanks so much,

Photoshop should come with Camera Raw built in to it.

You can download Digital photo pro off the Canon site for free ... it will do the trick .. then you can convert to TIFF or JPEG to do the rest of your post processing ...

I use Gimp which comes with UFRaw, to convert RAW files.

Photoshop has built in support known as Camera Raw check these links these should what you need to update the one that you are using I saw version 5.0 so I took it it meant Elements 5

If those don't work you can try these which are the latest of the updates but they may be for Elements 7 I'm not sure so make sure you try the ones above first.
