Default Creating a low resloution cd

I dont create cd's for clients very often so am not so sure how to do this. I need to create a low resolution cd for a client that I obviously do not want them to be able to print from.
Now do I just need to change the resolution setting ??? or is there something else I would need to do to keep them from printing anything larger than a 4x6?
Probably change the print size as well?

Maybe not the best help lol but im not sure if you can asign security to a jpeg image so that it can not be printed. But you can with a PDF and as you can embed Jpeg as low resolution images inside PDF files you could theoreticaly disable printing of the picture that way.. abit of messing around though

I think i figured it out. I found a program called FastStone that will resize everything in one batch. I resized everything to 400x300, that should do it wouldnt it?

Resize -- yes.

Change resolution -- no. Changing resolution usually means just changing a number stored in the file, but leaving all data intact.

The correct thing to do is to actually resize, so that there are fewer pixels. It sounds like you did the right thing.

With Acrobat Writer you can have all your jpeg's inside 1 .pdf document with Security parameters enabled.
Like no printing allowed. no Copy to clipboard.
And it is protected by password.

One of the only way then to do something with the embedded pictures in the Acrobat document is by using a screen capture software like Snag-It.
But then quality degrades very fast so almost unsuable.

Ps. I am a long time user of Acrobat writer since it was included with the first scanner I purchased and keep on upgrading every 2 versions.

And use it every day.
Every paper, bills etc. I get get is either converted or scanned to acrobat for archive and future reference.

I make low res jpgs of my images all the time. It's a simple export function in Lightroom. I just have it resize to 640 on the longest side, 72 ppi and high compression (lower quality). It's good enough for web, but not for printing anything worth much. And it exports all photos in one swift command.
