Can't view RAW with Photoshop 7 or CS

I recently got a D60 and I can't view my RAW files in Photoshop. I have both Photoshop 7 and CS. I can view the RAW files in View NX but I prefer to use Photoshop. Anyone have any ideas? I have a plug-in file called 'Camera Raw' in the Photoshop folder but when I attempt to open it I get this message...."Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

I'd really like to dive into the post-processing world now that I've got a new camera.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you need CS3 or newer to open D60 raw files directly.

Correct, you will need Adobe Camera Raw 5.x included with CS3.
The best workaround is to download the Adobe DNG Converter (Adobe - Digital Negative (DNG)) and then convert your NEF files to DNG which CS3 will open.
