The raw files from the 5DMII are new. The version of Camera Raw in CS3 is old. You should be able to convert them to adobe .DNG files using their dng raw converter and open those dng files in CS3. Or you can upgrade to CS4 for the new version of Camera Raw and open them natively in there. Adobe will not update old versions of Photoshop to support new hardware.

You need CS4 to open 5D Mk II raw files directly.

Thank you. I finally resulted in just using batch in Digital Photo Professional to convert the raw to jpg save it in a folder on my desktop.
I just done this this evening and it works. I can open these files in Photoshop.I may end up having to get CS4.

If you use DDP to convert the RAW files and then go on to edit in CS3 you should use TIFF rather than JPEG as the transitional file to avoid losses from compression and converting from 16 bit to 8 bit.
