Hello all,
I currently have a HP Photosmart printer and love it but now I want to "graduate" to a higher end printer that can use better photo paper, ink, etc. Any recommendations? I do not want to spend an arm and leg for a printer ($300-$500 maybe) and I want something that can sit on a desk like my Photosmart printer does now, any ideas? thanks |

Howdy nvjusme, and welcome to DPS.
I don't have any suggestions for a specific printer, but you might want to do a search in the Other Digital Photography Gear forum for threads that cover this very subject. I've seen a handful of threads in there asking about specific printers, and at least one that was pretty much the same question you have asked.

I use the Canon i9900. I've heard the Canon PIXMA series is good. Epson makes some great printers.

I just picked up a PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II for $250 -- which I consider a steal. Someone got it bundled with a T1i and didn't want it so they sold it cheap. I haven't set it up yet but plan to this weekend.
