Default Need help...

Can someone tell me what I can do in PP (Photoshop Elements 7) that will fix this green look in her hair. I have noticed when taking her picture her hair almost always looks green. And it is not really green!

I dont know much about Elements but you can try using an adjustment layer and lower the saturation. You dont have to apply to the whole thing, there should be a green channel to click on if you just want to lower the greens

I did that and she gets a red tint to her skin. When I try to fix the red I can't seem to get all of the colors right.

I will keep trying! Thanks for the input!

Does Elements have adjustment layers?
If not adjust the color on a duplicate layer and if you dont like the color of the skin, then all you have to do is erase it. Then the skin tone from the orginal image will show thru

If this is a recurring problem, check the white balance. Try manual.

I never would have noticed it had you not asked. Wish I could help, but I'm just beginning to try (beg, plead, etc..) to train my eye to see color casts. Lord help me when I have to actually fix them.
Cute kiddo you have there!

Bob - Thanks for the advice. I will try the white balance. Someone told me the other day I need to start shooting without my wb set to auto. Just a little nervous!

amymnc - Thank you for your sweet comment! I am new too! I am loving every minute of it except when things like that happen! LOL! Seriously, photography is very rewarding!

Is your monitor properly calibrated for color temperature? You could be seeing some amount of green that's not really there in your image, if your monitor is off.
