Default Help me clone in Photoshop elements 7

I have 4 books that I have been reading, downloaded tutorials to follow, but not able to find details that teach how to clone yourself into one image. I really like the multiple clones in one image and think it would be fun to learn, but I can't find any tutorials specific for elements 7, I have only been able to fine other elements versions, and they don't look the same as mine and I can't figure out the difference to make the adjustment. The books either give very little information, or they give the information as if I have already been working with layers and layer masks. I have spent at least 8 hours today trying to get this figured out, but not getting anywhere. Will appreciate any help or guidance.

I am no expert at this, but i do know of a simple way to do this technique and I use pse7 as well. start off by taking a shot of your background, with no subject in it, and during this procedure I recomend setting up on a tripod so you get the same frame everytime. Then take a shot with the subject in whatever pose in the room, then another and another, until youve acheived the number of clones in the positions you want them in in seperate shots. Open your images in pse7 and leave them all on the screen minimized so they are all visible. Using the move tool, arrow at top left of tool box, or shift v, to slide the first pose onto the second (both with subjects in them, the empty frame is backup to cover anyflaws when your finished) so you now have one photograph with one posed subject directly on top of another, Now using the selection tool in pse 7, it is the one that looks like a little wand in your toolbox panel, select your top subject as closely as you can, and layer via cut by right clicking in the selction and using layer via cut. delete the original cut layer leaving just your second subject ontop of your first subject picture. You should now have two subjects (clones) int he same frame. using the brush tool set to clear and a really light opacity, carefully go around the edges of the second subject till alll the cutout background is removed and the subject looks like they are in the first frame as a clone. use the brightness and contrast filter to adjust any light discrepencies (p.s. bad speller) (: now repeat the steps with your next picture ontop of that first frame again and do the same technique. when you are finished, reduce noise and enhance shaprness on the entire shot. do anyother modifications you see fit and flatten image. hope this makes sence.
