Antoni Tàpies (born in Barcelona, December 13, 1923) is a Spanish Catalan painter. He is one of the famous artists of European abstract expressionism.
from wikipedia Tapies... pies=feet in spanish. He is one of my favorite painters. I didn't intend this picture to be an homage, I just took it, and some time later I realized that it could work as such. Post processing: Since I suck at it, I grabed the first program that I saw installed on this computer Corel Photopaint, I enhanced the textures by adding contrast, added some illumination to the feet, for the frame I used Paint since I didn't found how to do it on photpaint, i bet it must be there somewhere. Some other edition used flickr's picknic. The text reads: "the art is philosophy that reflects a thought" A quote from Tapiés. ![]() I would have a liked some less depth of field, but that's not an option with my P&S In the end I liked the result a lot. Damn... it might be one of my favorite photos!
