I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for a tutorial to show me how I can remove the sunglasses from the top of my sister's head in this photo:

We're going to need to know what editing tool you are using, and probably the version of the tool as well.

It is possible, but extremely difficult. I wouldn't really recommend spending time, since it would be really really hard to get it to look natural. The best answer is to live with it.
I don't really see a problem with them in the first place.

if you really want to do it, search for "cloning" and "spot healing" on youtube..
however, the bigger problem IMHO would be the extreme darkness of their faces, use a "screening" layer, and mask out the relevant bits. (again, just search youtube for "masking") all the best

Walk up to her, reach out and grab them with either your right or left hand. Put them down and look through the viewfinder of your camera and I am pretty sure they will be gone.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

LOL @ AlphBjerke -yeah thanks for that!
Thanks for all the replies! I don't have a problem with the photo either but my sister asked if I would be able to do it. I don't know why she didn't just take the sunnies off when I was taking the photo! *rolling eyes*

Well, this is how I would do it:
![]() In Photoshop CS4, blow up the image to 450% (so the glasses and top of her head fill the screen), load white into the air brush tool and set the flow to 10%. Create a new blank layer. Paint over the frames and lens that is on the white sky. Next, using the healing brush tool, I brushed over the remaining parts of the glasses that covered her hair. As a final touch, I went back to the air brush and using black and brown, I blended any parts that didn't look right. Hope that helps.
