Default HDR Issues with Canon 5D Mark II

I have both Photomatix (latest version) and Dynamic Photo HDR (latest version) both of these HDR programs do not work with my 5D Mark II. When I create the HDR file the image displayed is garbled garbage with lots of banding, completely unusable. After searching the Internet it appears like the latest Canon Firmware may be the culprit.

Does anyone with a 5D Mark II and the latest firmware installed have an HDR program that is currently working (besides photoshop)?

I can export the RAW files to Tiff's and create a HDR file just fine but, it's annoying to have to do this until a patch is released for these programs, if ever.
