Aye my bad, I missed the bit about the texture overlay Although if you were referring to my saying that nobody picked up on the cloning looking wrong, newPerspective mentioned that "if you look carefully"... well I didn't have to look carefully at all as it is the first thing I noticed when I looked at the second image.

Subtle changes, but changes none the less. I kept having issues with the cloning, so I actually just duplicated the lower layer and dragged it over the tree area, then masked out her arm and the lower portion with the rock. I also blurred the texture that was showing the streaks. What do you think? Better?

You did a fabulous job getting rid of the tree. I think that was exactly what the picture needed. You can still see a couple of remaining branches from the tree on the girl's left side above the sky line. They should be fairly easy to clone out since there isn't much detail in the area.

Default nice!

ooo! nice redo of the cloning! i noticed it before as well, but now it looks like the sky sweeps under her arm just as it does above her. good job!

one lighting 'thing' i like to use is the Screen feature in photoshop. it helps to keep the shadows dark while lightening the other areas, and you can work with opacity to get it just right. IMHO.

happy clicking :-)

Just try again with the cloning and it will be great I reckon.

Also the left arm looks really strange on my monitor - this is terrible to say - but it looks like it has been on fire. I agree tho, that removing the tree was definitely an improvement. Maybe it's just the fact that I KNOW it was there that makes me see something weird where it was...........?
