Default CS4 question (or even lightroom 2)

I have adobe CS4 (lightroom 2) and am just learning how to use CS4. I learned the selective coloring here and I can do that easily now. But my question is, how can you add a different color then what is already there? Or can you? Ok, what I mean is, say I have a picture of...a frog. It's green, same old same old, is there a way to take the green and make it...hot pink and blue? I wasn't sure where to begin to look, and I think this would be much easier then actually finding a frog and painting it different colors (It was an example!~ I am in no way going to alter a live frogs, frogs are great and I love them...it was just the first example I came up with. My actual idea is using a sunflower and painting each petal a different color, I did this ten years ago for a photo class, and I want to revisit that idea, only without the use of poster paints this time!) Thanks guys, for any help you can give...I feel lost with this software!! Ri

Ok, well after a long search, and not knowing exactly what I was searching for, I found something that was along the lines of what I wanted, and I tried it out, I am just not sure how to fine tune it, I suppose playing around with it some more. I also wish I could get clean lines, that too I will probably have to work at. I'll share the site I found it on, as well as attach a copy of my first attempt, its not worthy of a upload on flickr.

aperture that sure looks a whole lot easier then what I just went through and selective coloring I can handle. Though I am not sure if I can achieve the full affect that I want to with it. I may just end up with poster paints again.

Google for "selective coloring", "selective coloring hue" or something even more clever, and see what you'll get.
