I recently (last night) scanned in about 100+ photos. Most came out pretty good and some how they seem to look better than the original in some cases. I am sure this isn't a new problem but is there an easy way to go about fixing some of these up? The biggest offender is those white dots all over the picture.
I know some of this stuff can't be helped, but for that which can I would like to clean them up as best as I can. Is there a Photoshop filter I can buy to do this? Or am I stuck using the healing brush / clone tools? Are there any other common things I should be doing or looking for with these photos? Anything that can make my life easier is going to be greatly appreciated. (They are all pictures of me taken by my family OR pictures I have taken. I am trying to clean them up for the reception at the wedding and I know I will have to go through my fiances pictures too). I don't have any picture examples to post right now (I am at work and everything is at home, I was too tired last night to do anything with them). Most of them are between 2-5MB depending on the actual print size and some other things. I intentionally scanned for best quality (it was that or minimum file size). |
