Some of you may already know this but I thought I pass it along just the same for some of you who might not know this.
I've known about doing conversions from RAW to .jpg using Photoshop File>Scripts>Image Processor. I have learned that you can also do the conversion straight from Adobe Bridge using Tools>Photoshop> Image Processor. What I didn't know was that it would convert the shots with the processing I had done of the RAW files in Adobe Camera Raw. This was a huge help -- and all the more reason that I won't be shooting in RAW+JPEG mode anytime soon. I did a shoot at a friends birthday party last night and had a lot of photos to process and convert. My ACR workflow is well established and it only took me about an hour to do my basic process of the RAW files in ACR. So what I did was apply some processing of the RAW file in ACR, things like White Balance, Exposure, etc. Then I highlight all of the files in Adobe Bridge, selected Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor. I set my height and width settings as I needed (in my case I set them to 3000 pixels, which maintained the aspect ratio of the photos). Clicked OK and within less than 5 minutes all 120+ photos were converted. You don't have to worry about parsing out the jpg's from the RAW files because the Image Processor automatically creates a folder for the jpg's and deposits them there after the conversions. What a great time saver this was. I didn't know that the Image Processor would convert using the ACR edits -- I just took a chance. And in just over an hour I had a CD burned with the processed images for my friend.
