Default Heart shape in sand??

I did a client that wrote I "heart" and her fiance name in the sand. I want to color the lining of the heart RED...I tried the paint brush tool and it painted the whole photo red then I even tried the eye dropper..that didnt work either?

How can I do it? Does someone know and can help me?

Use the lasso tool to mark out the heart, then create a new adjustment layer for hue/saturation then move the sliders till you get the effect you want.

You could also set the opacity of the paint brush real low so you still see the sand through it, but the method above is best.

Here's what I would do. Get the Magic Wand Tool and make a selection out of the heart. Go to Edit > Stroke... set the width to how many pixels you want the outline, change the color to red, choose the location - center is good. Click [OK] and you are done.

would it be possible for you to upload the photo here so we can see and try and show you what we mean? I would have thought using the paint brush on a new layer would do the job fine?
