aww, sorry nobody helped earlier. I'm new to this site, but I'm probably a greater photoshop freak than a photography lover and I always love a challenge. Wanna tell me what you were looking for? I might be able to help....

I'm sorry you deleted your post. Sometimes the forums just move so fast that people don't see threads. In any case, without the original post, here's my suggestion on how to change a sky in a photo. It's served me well in the past.
I use "select colour range" to select the sky. You can pretty well see if it's covering the parts you need well. Sometimes this goes beyond where you need selected. That's why my next step is to go into quick mask and erase any wayward selections. If that's worked well then I just use that as a mask so that the sky photo shows through. If that doesn't work well for selecting the sky, the other thing I've learned about making selections is to use the Threshold adjustment. Duplicate your building layer first, then do adjustments > threshold and adjust it so that your sky is white and most other things are black. Then I use "select colour range" again and select the white. Then I delete the threshold layer and make a mask on the building layer again. And one final trick is that if the light doesn't match quite right, use the Match Colour feature on your buildings layer. Then use the sky layer as the source. Most useful with sunset shots.
