When you are putting a sequence together, you need to think about the overall composition as well as each individual image.
Using a vertical stack means that most people will have to scroll down the screen to see them all. That is not necessarily a bad thing, because you can then rely on the movement to create a flick-book effect. However, because the surfer does not move position much, the result is less dynamic than might be ideal. In particular, the wave front seems to be washing across the first three images (watch where it hits the left side of the frame) but then freezes. Maybe you started panning the camera to match the movement? It might be interesting to see if you could do some crops that would keep the wave moving consistently, which could contribute to the sense of action. Wulf |
