It does sound like a color management problem -- perhaps you have color management turned off in Firefox (there is a way to turn it on, but not obviously -- and I can't figure it out right now either. Darn.).
For the record, the skin tone on the left one is a bit crazy! At least on my screen, the face is extremely red.

Thanks for the replies. I will check the color space. I didn't even think about that. I will report back when I find out.
Also, dcclark, thanks for the advice. I was shooting when the sun was right on her face, so I wasn't sure if that "glow" was the sun in combination with her being tired/hot. (they were playing baseball). |

hmmm..... while I agree that the ps one might be too saturated, there clearly is a problem with firefox dulling colors. I know somebody who spent many hours trying to understand the specifics of web browsers. As far as I know, every browser displays colors differently, and different types of computer screens alter it even more.
For a start, check the color management of your own browser. Then, if you're obsessive like I am, since you're dealing with a website, you might also want to consider color calibrating your monitor. This will give you control of more accurate colors displayed in as many different situations as possible, so you don't have people thinking you completely oversaturated an image just because its a different computer. =) |
