I agree. Mr Anti-Actions over here has no idea what he's talking about. If your actions are destroying your pixels & quality of your prints/images, then maybe your using the wrong actions or not using them correctly. Actions are just a replay of things you would already do during post-production. There's no way it would destroy your work unless you let it.

Simple? (Gimp) default Unsharpen mask but raise the threshold to 1/ auto color enhance/ auto white balance. ~ keepin it real~

Instead of editing the photo (which is amazing by the way) you could add a small (maybe 10-15 pixels) black frame around it... easy to do in PS (regardless of the version). Black tends to make colors pop more.

There's always adding (a little) vignette to it as well, because she so far off centered (which is a great thing) I wouldn't add too much of one or she'll go dark and you don't want her to do that.. It'll darken your corners and bring your eye to her instead of the brightness of the background.

Saturation is good, too... but don't go overboard on it.

I can't seem to find your file on tinypic to edit it and post my version or I'd hand out an example.
