I dont usually use Photoshop so forgive me if this is a dumb question. In PSP you can use the erasor tool but if you need to fine tune an edge and you've gone a bit over the edge you can right click and undo what you have just erased.
In PS, if you right click the brush menu comes up. Can this step not be done and of so, how the heck do you do it????

Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z if you're on a mac) is the shortcut for Undo.
(If that was even what you were asking >.<)

sort of. yes and no. Basically in psp you can right click and "paint" back any tiny areas that you may have overstepped your bounds on.
If I hit undo in PS then all is undone. Say I only want to undo a tiny portion of what was erased?

Create a layer mask on that layer and brush on the mask with black to "erase". That way you can go back and forth all you want.

If you don't want to go back and try all over again, you can try using the Art History Brush. Once you select it, on the History Window, select the point you want to revert back to. From there you can pick and choose what parts you want to revert.
Here's an example:

Never erase on the background or base layer: duplicate and work on that.

Never do that, the whole point of erasing something is to show what's underneath.
