Hi all! I've been having so much fun learning my way around photoshop elements 7.0 and have been practicing every day. I love the look of this photo that I saw online today and am wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to achieve this. It looks to me like maybe it is desaturated a bit and then a pink tint applied, but I can't really seem to duplicate it well. I don't know if it is ok to post links to photos that I clearly did not take....if not please let me know. Any and all help is appreciated!!

Its gonna be next to impossible to duplicate a look directly. The first step woud be to find the original source of the image and straight up ASK.
Failing that, it's likely a desturation with a flat filled layer at adjusted opacity and layer mode. Desaturate layer New layer > fill with flat colour/gradient Adjust opacity Adjust layer mode (likely to Colour or Overlay)

Thank you. I'm really new at all this, and since this happens to be a celebrity photo I can't really ask anyone about it. If I ever see a similar pick on here or Flickr I will definately take the time to ask how it was done. Just trying to learn all the techniques I can, and I know that there are so many of you on here who are brilliant that I figured it would be worth asking! Thanks for taking the time to help.....Kristin
