The easiest way is to duplicate you layer - turn the top layer B/W and then use your eraser and erase the booties and the blue will show through. After that the blue may seem too blue, so you can desaturate the original layer...

Do as private suggests, but use the pen tool to select the booties and inverting the selection to remove instead of using a brush or the eraser tool.

what I do is duplicate the layer, turn it black and white. select the "art history" brush and brush what you want to have color.

Here's the easy way to do it:
- To convert to Black & White then selectively colourize New adjustment layer> Hue/Saturation De-saturate F7 (or click on layer mask) Press ”D” or"X" to get black as foreground color Click on brush tool Brush over parts to colourize Flatten/Save Regards, Ken |
