I'm currently in a rut about continuing to use an LCD computer monitor
It seems the color are a bit too bland compared to a CRT. What do you guys think?

hi midnight
i spent weeks deliberating on an LCD purchase. the cheap LCDs are poor in comparison to CRTs when it comes to a combination of colour depth, contrast, black point and viewing angle. without spending thousands and thousands, the best LCD panels are H-IPS, which are difficult to get in australia. i ended up with a HP LP2475w, see http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/hp_lp2475w.htm tftcentral has heaps of info, is a solid resource. calibration of any viewing device is important for consistent colour, contrast and brightness throughout workflow. |
